5 Reasons to Rise and Grind

Want to skip happy hour or spin class? Grabbing for that early cup of coffee instead ice cold water at the crack of dawn?

Even if the thought of a morning workout makes you want to press that snooze button a couple times, its time to take on this day and get moving! If you need more convincing here are my top 5 reasons to Rise and Grind!

5 Reasons to Rise and Grind

  1. Nail that Big Presentation

  2. Exercising before you head into the office gets that brain in the game. Studies show that even a brief period of aerobic exercise can increase the size hippocampus, the brain area involved in verbal memory and learning. In this case, a little sweat can go a long way.

  3. Stay Cool as a Cucumber

  4. Have you chewed off that brand new manicure already? Take a deep breath and allow yourself at least 15 minutes of movement like yoga or a couple of body weight movements. This movement will prompt the happy hormone called endorphins that relives stress anxiety to be released in the brain.

  5. Revs Metabolism for the Day

  6. Start the day off by burning a couple calories and you may see all day results. 30 minutes of resistance or weight training in the AM will prompt fat burn and metabolic activity for muscular growth AKA a metabolism that is working while you are stuck at your desk!

  7. Start Fit, Stay Fit

  8. Get that booty out of bed and make it work! A workout first thing in the morning over an extend period of time causes the body to adjust its neuro sleep clock meaning a more constant sleep schedule and a body looking forward to exercise instead of coffee! In addition to alertness without the caffeine boost, people who workout in the morning make healthier choices throughout the whole day.

  9. No Excuses, Lady!

  10. Anything from one last phone call in the office to one last errand to run can so easily leave you without time to get your fitness session in. Waking up just a half hour early in the morning can allow you to get your booty in action without your Busy Gal distractions!
