Get Out of That Rut- 5 Easy Tips

Ever wake up and think to yourself, " Holy crap, how have I made nothing useful happen in the last (x) weeks?" I certainly have and here are my top 5 ways to get out of that rut!

5 Things to Do to Get Out of that Rut

  1. Schedule

  2. ​​Its easy to let little projects get by the way side so schedule them in your planner! We are busy women and sometimes it feels nice to push those projects to the side but I guarantee you wouldn't miss an appointment with a client or fall behind on a deadline. So make sure you don't miss an appointment with one of the most important ladies you know. Yourself!

  1. Grab a Buddy

  2. Sometimes two heads are better than one. Have a trusty best friend or coworker? Grab a coffee and brainstorm with them!

  1. Clean House

  2. A mess home is the quickest way to a messy mind. Take the time to make your home clean so your mind can stay organized! If cleaning doesn't fit in your schedule, treat yo'self and look for a cleaning service (Groupon, holla!).

  1. Exercise

  2. Get that blood flowing! Working out is proven to increase brain function. If you are lacking motivation to workout solo, check out local studios and Class Pass for a more social setting. Plus, a lot of studios have a complimentary or discounted first class!

  1. Brain Food

  2. Put. Down. The. Sugar. When we are tired we crave sugar, caffeine, and carbohydrates. Instead reach for a healthy fat to keep your body fueled and brain sharp. Some of my favorites are avocados, almonds, lean proteins, or berries!
